Biography
Ly~Lee Funk grew up on a livestock farm in the midwest. Having many feeding
chores every morning before school. Ly~Lee learned to see each animal as an
individual with its own personality and features. Through the years, she has
developed that skill to a higher degree and uses it in her artwork. Her paintings
and photographs show the individual personality of the subjects.
An avid equestrian, Ly~Lee was given her first pony at age four and has been riding and showing her whole life. She currently owns hanoverians and competes in dressage.
A new adventure for Ly~Lee is dog showing. She has acquired several very nice collies and is getting started in showing them herself. A new and exciting thing to learn.
Ly~Lee is also a nature buff, and loves to hunt. Spending so much time in nature during deer season, in Iowa winter time, is a real eye opener. Just try being out side from before daylight to after dark when it’s 3 degrees out and the wind is blowing a wind chill of -30 !! It truly makes one aware of life.
